Jon was born and raised in Sydney, is married to Kirili and they have 2 children. Before starting at St David's in 2022, he was a pastor in Sydney's Inner West for nine years, and prior to that, he worked as a Chemical Engineer. He loves seeing people engage with Jesus in the Bible and wrestle with how he might change their lives in amazing and surprising ways. He loves talking to people about Jesus, fishing, surfing, coffee and NRL, and is always up for a chat.

Scott came to Forestville by way of St Ives, Ryde, Carlingford and even Mexico. Scott has worked as a graphic designer, missionary and a cardiologist (well, at a greeting card store called 'Kenny's Cardiology').
Scott first heard about Jesus through his family and local church as well at the local school Scripture classes. He enjoys talking to people about Lego, the Sea Eagles, ocean swimming and hearing their thoughts on Jesus. Scott is married to Diana and they have three daughters, Trinity, Abi and Jemima. |
Cathy YoungPastor

Cathy has returned to the Northern Beaches after living outside Sydney for over 20 years. She has two wonderful adult sons, a Cavoodle named Casper and most importantly, is a child of God. From an early age, Cathy has known that Jesus died for her sins.It is her great desire that all people might know God's love for them in Jesus. Cathy gratefully enjoys the good gifts that God has given her - spending time with family and friends, enjoying local beaches and bush walks, having power naps, watching movies, drinking tea, eating Yum Cha and many more. Cathy is thankful for life to the full in Jesus and would love you to have this life also.

Josh Bishop
Josh grew up in Ballarat, Victoria and moved to Sydney in time for the Olympic Games. Josh is married to Sarah and they have been part of St David's for over 17 years. He has served in kids and youth ministry for over 15 years and now leads with a team - many of whom he's known since their first days at youth group. Josh is currently studying at Sydney Mission Bible College and is passionate about seeing God's Word reach young people of all ages. He loves reading books fast but loves reading God's Word slower. In his spare time, Josh can be found watching NBA or writing stories.

Sarah BishopKids Ministry

Sarah has been part of the St David's Church family for over 17 years, first coming to know about Christ through her time at youth group. Sarah is married to Josh. Sarah has served in kids and youth ministry for over 15 years and now leads and care for Kid's ministry teams including 10am Kid's Church, 515 Kid's Church and the 180 program. She loves to catch up for coffee and open her house for meals; spending time encouraging and sharing her love of Christ with those around her.

Marina Blythe
Marina has lived in Sydney all her life - moving from the North Shore to the Forest 15 years ago. She is married to Josh and they have 2 children and they have been part of the Church family at St David's for just over 8 years. Marina is a Primary Teacher by training and has taught SRE in schools over the years, as well as classroom teaching. Now she's enjoying applying the skills from both roles into the balance of part-time teaching and part-time administration. She fills the rest of her time with family, friends and coffee!
